Description
Whidbey's Saratoga Orchestra brings to Oak Harbor audiences a special one-night-only performance showcasing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major, Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”, and Stacy Garrop’s “Penelope Waits” from her Mythology Symphony. A highlight of the program, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major dazzles with its irresistible blend of French Impressionist color and jazz-inspired energy. Written after the composer’s exposure to American jazz, the concerto sparkles with playful rhythms, bluesy harmonies, and brilliant orchestral textures.
