We seek a skilled and passionate Dance Instructor to join our team.

As a Dance Instructor, your primary responsibility would be to teach various dance styles to students of all ages and experience levels. You will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, choreograph routines, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and performance.

Duties:

Your key responsibilities in this role would include:

- Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the goals and objectives of the dance program
- Teaching students different dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre
- Choreographing routines for performances and competitions- Providing individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve their technique, flexibility, and musicality
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged
- Collaborating with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances, recitals, and events
- Staying up-to-date with current dance trends, techniques, and industry developments- Ensuring the safety of students by following proper warm-up procedures and teaching correct dance techniques

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should have:

- Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or in a related role
- Extensive knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively teach and motivate students- Patience and the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
- Creativity in choreographing routines that showcase students' abilities
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, rehearsals, and performances
- CPR/First Aid certification, SAFESport, Concussion in Sports (required within 30 days)
- Bachelor's degree in Dance or a related field (preferred, but not required for those with equivalent experience)

Skills: The ideal candidate would also possess the following skills and qualities:

- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and staff members
- Proficiency in music selection and editing for dance routines
- Ability to create lesson plans that incorporate age
-appropriate activities and learning objectives
- Knowledge of dance history and terminology
- Culinary skills for planning and coordinating dance-related events
