Compensation: $41.46 - $41.46/hr. + $5,000 Sign-on Bonus ($2,500 on first paycheck and $2,500 upon successful completion of probationary period + $5,000 in Relocation Assistance.)

Skookum is seeking a knowledgeable and helpful Plumber with a positive attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Assist with maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, removal, replacement and modification of all plumbing equipment and components for water, sewer, swimming pools, inert gas, natural gas, air vacuum, compressed air systems, steam, and POL equipment.

Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes, studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required, and sequence of installations.

Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe and locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.

Cut’s openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools, cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine, bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine, or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand.

Assembles and installs valves, pipefittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.
Qualifications:

Journeyman Plumber card required.

Certified per UG-2029-ENV and have a Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certificate for the State of Washington.

3 – 5 years of experience in Plumbing preferred.

Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations preferred.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:

Valid state driver license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance carrier.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Must provide own common tools.

Must be on call rotation for priority calls and snow events.
