The Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum presents
Steppe Williford, PNWNAM Librarian. On December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor was not the first American installation struck by Japanese aircraft. It was actually NAS Kaneohe Bay, home of Patrol Wing One and 36 PBY-5 Catalinas. Come join us to hear the story of NAS Kaneohe Bay, the almost complete destruction of Patrol Wing One, and the role coffee played in defending the base. Learn about a fascinating new artifact connecting that morning and the PNW Naval Air Museum.
