What you need to know about new sales taxes: As part of its advocacy for employers, AWB has coordinated a webinar with the Department of Revenue to provide timely, important information to businesses with interim guidance about the new sales tax on services that took effect Oct. 1.

• The new law imposes a sales tax on a wide range of services —from digital advertising, IT, and custom website development to temporary staffing, security services and live events. Learn more about the changes.

Free and open to all: Registration is now open for this upcoming webinar with the Department of Revenue on the interim guidance for the sales tax on services bill (SB 5814). The webinar will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m.

• Join AWB’s Tax & Fiscal Policy lead Max Martin as he talks about what employers can expect around the new sales tax on services that went into affect this month. Max will be joined by a representative from the Department of Revenue with answers on how the tax applies to your business, what to expect during implementation, and how to stay compliant.

• The webinar is open to both AWB members and non-members.
