DESCRIPTION:Join the musicians of Whidbey's Saratoga Orchestra in celebration of Whidbey's Earth & Ocean Month.  Rhythms of Nature II is presented Sunday April 2\, 3:00pm at Oak Harbor Methodist Church. The program features chamber music for percussion\, winds and strings including Minus Nine by David Madiera\, a musical representation of the beautiful and exotic world revealed during low tide on Puget Sound. Other works include\, In a Treeless place\, only Snow\, composed by John Luther Adams\, refers to a type of stone marker that the Inuit peoples use to orient themselves in Arctic spaces and Earthscape by David Marlatt is a lyrical piece inspired by the view of our planet from space. Members of The Four Voices will be on hand reading their poetry and prose throughout the program.
