With plenty of beaches\, parks\, farms and more to explore\, one can spend a weekend relaxing or exploring just the same.\n\nThe Whidbey 1/2\,a new half marathon experience in Oak Harbor\, offers participants a first class experience along rural roads\, picturesque scenery\, quiet farmland and views of the Olympic Mountains and Pacific Ocean as runners wind through the western part of Whidbey Island.\n\nThe Whidbey 1/2\, the new sister event to The Whidbey Island Marathon\, offers participants a fun running experience in an intimate setting.\n\nWith limited participant availability we recommend registering early as this event will reach capacity quickly.\n\n \nAll participants of The Whidbey 1/2 will receive the following as part of their registration:\n\nLong Sleeve Whidbey 1/2 Running Top\n\nThe Island Finisher Medal\n\nPom Beanie\n\nCustom Race Bib & Timing Chip
