DESCRIPTION:The Bard's Boutique Artist Spotlight presents:  Poetry in the Afternoon for Father's Day\n\nWelcome to the Bard's Boutique Poetry Reading Series to support Island Shakes.\n\nPlease join us upstairs in the Front Room Gallery at the Bayview Cash Store from 1-3 p.m. Sunday\, June 16 as we welcome poets Robin Barre\, Mary Elizabeth Himes\, Janice O'Mahony\, David Ossman\, and Stephen Roxborough. The theme of the day is "Fathers."\n\nPoetry in the Afternoon is a pay-what-you-will donation event to support Island Shakespeare Festival (www.islandshakespearefest.org)\,  an outdoor summer of theater happening July 19-Sept. 8\, 2024 and  featuring Shakespeare's  "King Lear" and "The Lucky Chance" by Aphra Behn. \n\nPlease mark your calendars for the final 2024 Poetry in the Afternoon event: The Cusp on Sept. 22 with poets Robin Barre\, John Burgess\, Dallas Huth\, Mary Elizabeth Himes\, Brooke Stout and Eden Trenor.\n\nThe Bard's Boutique in the Bayview Cash Store is located at 5603 Bayview Road in Langley.
