DESCRIPTION:Did you know\, Bloodworks NW is the sole provider of blood to over 90 local hospitals? It takes 1\,000 units a DAY in order to keep up with the demand. \n\nPatients receive blood transfusions for numerous reasons but the most common being treatment for Cancer and Leukemia followed by trauma victims\, mothers during delivery\, and surgeries including organ transplants. There is no substitute for blood. With all the medical advances we've seen in the last 25+ years\, the need for blood is constant. It takes a willing and generous donor to donate in order for a local life to be saved. \n\n \n\nBloodworks NW will be back in Oak Harbor July 3rd\, 25th\, 26th\, 27th & 28th. Historically\, our blood supply tends to drop during the summer months. If you can please help us prepare by sending out an internal email\, posting on social media\, or asking a friend to donate with you\, that would be greatly appreciated. Below is an email template you can simply copy/paste. Attached is also an e-flyer you can use to help spread the word. \n\n \n\nThank you\, for your time. Without supportive community partners spreading the word\, our community would not be as strong.
