DESCRIPTION:Kick off the New Year with a FIRST DAY HIKE! Deception Pass State Park welcomes in the new year with a scenic hike along the Pacific Northwest Trail. Beginning at Bowman Bay\, park staff will guide hikers along the Pacific Northwest Trail to Rosario Head. This trail runs along the coast of Fidalgo Island and is one of the most scenic in the entire park. Not only will one find views of the Salish Sea and various wildlife\, but also the Maiden of Deception Pass and the Rosario Beach tide pools. Before hiking back to Bowman Bay\, hear the story of the Maiden of Deception Pass. After returning to Bowman Bay\, one can also take a self-guided hike to Lighthouse Point or Lottie Point for views of the Bridge and Deception Pass. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the hike. Start the New Year off with a beautiful hike at Deception Pass!
