DESCRIPTION:The 26th annual Chum Run will be held Saturday\, May 3rd at Fort Casey State Park. Participants are welcome to walk or run as they please. There will also be a free kids' "Fry Run"\, children must be accompanied by an adult for the Fry Run. The race is an all-inclusive family event that is fun for all\, from the bouncing kiddo to the fervent runner. Prizes will be handed out to the top two finishers in the open\, female\, high school and middle school categories. Register at: https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=382908 Proceeds from the event will support the Healthy Island Youth Initiative (HIYI) Scholarship Program. The HIYI scholarship pays for the cost of registration for after-school activities for youth whose families may find the cost a barrier to participation. Race registration is scheduled for 8-9:30am\, with the Chum Run 5K slated to begin at 10am\, the Fry Run at 10:45\, and the awards ceremony at 11am. Registration fees are $25 by April 18th and day-of registration costs $33.
