EXCITING NEWS! This year, the Oak Harbor 4th of July Parade is introducing a Parade Contest with multiple categories to celebrate creativity, patriotism, entertainment, and community spirit!
Whether you're decorating a float, showcasing a classic car, representing your organization, or bringing a unique idea to life, we want to see you get creative and let freedom roll!
🇺🇸 Most Patriotic Entry
Show off your American pride! This category recognizes the entry that best captures the spirit of Independence Day through patriotic decorations, creative displays, costumes, and red, white, and blue flair.
🎉 Most Interactive Entry
Get the crowd involved! The entry that creates the most excitement and memorable moments with parade spectators will take home this award. Wave, dance, cheer, and get everyone celebrating!
🎶 Outstanding Performance
Bring the entertainment! Music, dance, live performances, and other creative acts are encouraged. This award recognizes the most captivating, energetic, and memorable performance in the parade.
These contest categories are designed to inspire participants to get creative, show their patriotic spirit, and make this year's parade unforgettable!

To keep our parade fun, organized, and enjoyable for everyone, participation will be limited to 80 entries through an application process.
One vehicle per entry. Additional vehicles must be registered as separate entries.
Smaller recreational vehicles or entries with special circumstances may be accommodated. Contact info@oakharborchamber.com to discuss your needs.
Entries must follow the “Let Freedom Roll!” theme and remain family-friendly and respectful of all individuals and groups.
Entries may not exceed 12 feet in width due to the parade route along Pioneer Way.
Limiting the parade to 80 entries helps us maintain a safe, well-paced event for participants and spectators.
Participants may campaign while walking in the parade, including carrying signs with “Vote For” messages.
However, all other political messaging is not permitted.
All entries must maintain a family-friendly and respectful atmosphere. Our goal is to create a positive celebration for our community and visitors.
Application Deadline
Submit your application by May 20 to be considered for participation in the parade. Space is limited to 80 entries.
Payment & Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) Due
All entry fees and required Certificates of Liability Insurance must be submitted by this date. A COI is required for vehicles being driven in the parade.
Parade Scripts Due
Scripts must be 100 words or fewer and will be read by the emcee as your entry passes the grandstand.

Parade Instructions & Lineup Announced
Approved participants will receive final parade instructions, lineup information, and additional details.

A Certificate of Liability Insurance is required for vehicles being driven in the parade.
COIs must be submitted by June 4, 2027, and emailed to info@oakharborchamber.com.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER OR NON-PARTICIPATION.
The Greater Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce strives to provide equal opportunities for all participants and will make every effort to fairly evaluate applications.
The Chamber reserves the right to deny any application at its discretion and may cancel an approved application at any time if deemed necessary. If an application is denied by the Chamber, the applicant may be eligible for a refund at the Chamber's discretion.
As a participant in a Greater Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce event, I acknowledge and agree that I assume responsibility for any injury, property damage, or loss I may sustain as a result of participating in the Oak Harbor 4th of July Parade.
I understand that I am responsible for carrying appropriate insurance coverage for my participation and entry.
